Best St. Kitts Beach and Transportation

What is the best beach in St. Kitts and how much is a taxi to get there?

 

Is the taxi price per person or for the ride. Will the taxi driver come back for you or how do you get a taxi back

I read about a funky Shipwreck Bar and beautiful beach on the other side of the island from where the cruise dock lands and I have been wondering the same thing... Does anyone have a name for this beach, and have any iidea how much a taxi would cost and if they'd pick you back up?

The beach is called South Friars. Not sure about taxi cost because we usually drive there. A taxi will take you there & return to pick you up if you request it when he picks you up at the pier & also do not pay him until he gets you back to town.

do they have vans at the port if alot of people want to go together

Most of the taxis' are larger vans capable of carrying 8-12 passengers.

We always hang out at Ziggys on south Friars. $10 each way for 4 of us in taxi. Great guy, cheap beers by the bucket and he taught our daughters how to play beach volley ball! Had the most amazing massage from Dennis here last visit, so if he's there, and offers one TAKE IT!!
