masterbaker Posted October 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2009 We are sailing RCI in November and are interested in booking a 14 night Celebrity cruise onboard for early 2010. Searches on both the Celebrity and RCI boards here are giving me conflicting info about onboard credit. Is OBC from booking the X cruise while onboard RCI calculated by the number of days of the cruise or cost of cruise? Thanks :)
tribefantoo Posted October 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2009 i booked the oasis on board the solstice. obc was per length of cruise if i remember correctly. hope that helps.
cruiserbryce Posted October 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2009 RC's is by length...X is by cost...we barely made the level of OBC we did for the Equinox cruise we have coming up. We booked it while on Rhapsody last Sept
Hamburg Avon Lady Posted October 6, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2009 ;) If you are a owner of RCCL stock (shareholder's benefits) and a member of Captain's Club and/or Crown and Anchor -- depending on the length of the cruise and the amount of OBC's being offered if you book while on board --- you best compare "apples to oranges" as you cannot combine both offers any longer -- it's one or the other. :(
masterbaker Posted October 6, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Thank you for your responses. Since responses conflicted again in this thread, I called Celebrity this morning to inquire. The response directly from Celebrity was that OBC is calculated now on the number of nights in the sailing. Just thought I would put that info out here in case anyone else had the same question in the future. Hamburg Avon Lady, We are not stockholders but thanks for the info. We've been sailing mostly RCI lately and non combinability is their policy also.
