Philippine disaster

I was delighted to see that Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has opened a relief fund for the staff members who have suffered from the recent awful natural disasters which have struch the Philippines. The company will match the sum raised from past, present and future passengers. Donations may be sent to Deborah Moore at the Ipswich office.

Anyone who has sailed with Fred. Olsen knows what a cheerful, courteous and efficient service these people give. Those currently on board must be experiencing a very worrying time at present.

I hope a significant sum is raised for this worthy cause.

So pleased to hear this. I hope that there will be some fund-raising facility on the Balmoral when we board in 2 weeks. It must be awful for the crew to be so far away and feel so helpless.
