Port or Starboard on the Eastern Mediterranean cruise?

Sorry, if this question has been posted already! :o

On the eastern Mediterranean cruise is it better to have a veranda on the port or starboard side? I'll be cruising on the Equinox next June.

We were on the Equinox last month and stayed on the portside (hump) verandah. For some locations, it did not matter. Others...well here goes:

Rome & Naples: Portside allowed you to view/watch coastlines as you sailed into and out of port on the way to Greece. Naples was especially nice with the view of Naples, Mt Vesuvius, Sorrento/Amalfi Coast.

Praeus/Athens Greece: No advantage.

Rhodes - Based on where/how our ship was docked, starboard had a better view of the city.

Haifa/Ashdod: Port side had slightly better views but it was hazy.

Alexandria: The port is in an industrial setting, but the cruise in from Israel had nicer coastline views of Alexandria arriving from Israel.

All-in-all, I'd say I enjoyed our portside view. But if the itinerary was reversed, I'd stay on the starboard side next time.
