IPA region 30 member Posted October 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2009 Howdy all; I couldn't find it on a search so here goes again I am sure... What sort of photo packages does Celebrity have? Are they just by the photo? Can you get multiple photos on a CD for reprint later? Do they usually run some sort of special? We are renewing our Vows on this cruise for our 30th and it would be nice to get some photos of everything (the package we have gives us the photographer for an hour.) as well as different areas of the cruise. Thanks in advance... Scott
Onelung Posted October 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2009 Hi On our recent Constellation cruise they had several different packages at the start of the cruise. You will definitely find something to suit your needs, just stop by the photo stop and they'll sort you out. Regards
cinlo Posted October 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2009 You have two choices of photographers on the Solstice class ships. We sailed Solstice last December in a sky suite, and one of the "perks" was a sitting with the Deep Blue Studios onboard. We wore our formal wear that night, had a bunch of photos done in the studio, and then in several places around the ship. The photographer and assistant were very professional, including toting around the big reflecting umbrellas during photos around the ship. This of course attracted a lot of attention, especially in the hallway going to and from the specialty dining rooms. Talk about feeling like a Celebrity! This is a high quality studio, much nicer than the standard ship's photographers that take pictures on formal nights. The next day we sat in the studio and looked at over 300 photos on a 42 inch monitor, sorting out which ones we wanted in an album. The album is made in Italy, and is wedding album quality. Needless to say, this is an investment, and as you are celebrating your 30th, it will be well worth it to you to at least check out Deep Blue. Our package included the album, several of different sizes of prints, and a CD.
IPA region 30 member Posted October 9, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted October 9, 2009 Hi Cinlo; Thanks that is great, if you don't mind, how much did the package cost? We are doing Disney for a week before the cruise and are planning on a photo package there too <G>... regards Scott
cinlo Posted October 10, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 10, 2009 Are you sitting down?:) Have you researched what a good quality wedding album would generally cost? We spent $2k on our package, which was the smallest album offered. It was sticker shock, believe me, when we sat to look at the photos. BUT, we'd had so much fun going all around the ship for photos, and what a fantastic memory of our first cruise. It was also our 20th wedding anniversary, and we'd not had professional photos at our wedding. So for us the price was totally worth it! The whole experience is something we will never forget, and the photos are incredible. As the pictures are digital, we could tell that minor blemishes were gone, teeth were whiter, skin looked somewhat airbrushed, but in a good way. We were quite impressed with the quality. I bought one of the ship's photographers photos of us in the same formal wear, and there is no comparison between that photo and Deep Blue Studios! Photos at Disney too? Sounds like you better take out a second mortgage! Just kidding......but between these two trips you'll be spending a pretty penny! Get the Deep Blue photos, you won't regret it! RoonilWazlib Posted October 5, 2012 #7 Share Posted October 5, 2012 Is there a website anywhere where you can find more info on this? Fiance and I are getting married on Day 3 of our first cruise while we're in port, but it would be awesome to get some shots on the ship itself before we go! Couldn't afford $2000, though. Are there other options, like just a CD?
Nole0202 Posted October 5, 2012 #8 Share Posted October 5, 2012 You can get a package with the ship's regular photographers for all photos and files on a CD for around $200. Just stop by the photo desk after boarding.
