joydisney Posted October 14, 2009 #26 Share Posted October 14, 2009 Is there anything walking distance from the Sofitel? I found a very good rate for Jan 10. I don't mind a taxi to hotel from airport, or to POM, if necessary.
zoncom Posted October 14, 2009 #27 Share Posted October 14, 2009 I have stayed at Clay Hotel 14th and Washington, South Beach. Beach 2 blks. From $60ish up. Beautiful old Miami hotel. Walk to everything nearby. 15 min. taxi to ship. Why stay at airport for 2 days? They have website.

Clay is primarily a youth Hostel and old would be the key word there... You get what you pay for. ;)

Walgreens & CVS are across from the strip mall. 94th Aero Squadron is also nearby... http://www.the94thaerosquadron.com/Miami/index.html

The reviews on trip advisor were really good. Yes, you get what you pay for sometimes but sometimes you can get a good place for a good deal. Does anyone else know anything about the Clay?
