Question re: categories

This is probably a stupid question, but I would like some clarification!

 

What is the difference b/w BG, BB, BA etc?

 

We're sailing on Emerald in January and were upgraded from BG to BA and I haven't the slightest what that means!

 

If someone could break it down Barney style for me, I'd appreciate it!

In general terms, it is all location....the higher and more mid-ships are the better location than lower and fore and aft cabins...BUT....on many of the larger ships, the balconies on the Caribe deck are larger and command a higher prices.
