grandmaa Posted October 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Hello...I will be sailing on the Carnival Paradise and I would like to know if there are room safes and hair dryers in the cabin? I understand there are no mini refrigerators but was wondering about these items? Anything else you might inform me about would be appreciated..thanks bunches. Wishing everyone clear skies and calm seas!!!
philsfun Posted October 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2009 We were in a Penthouse Suite in August. There was a mini fridge and a safe, but no hair dryer.
Rare ncovert Posted October 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2009 From my memory (I know scary ) there was a safe in the closet. Happy travels.
southbayer Posted October 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Room safes yes, always use them on my cruises... Very nice luxury to have. Hair dryers yes, on my last paradise cruise. But I have heard they don't have a "stay on" setting, you have to keep the trigger pressed. You might want to bring your own. Rosefloater Posted October 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 18, 2009 +There are no hair dryers on the Paradise. In order to use the safe you need a card with magnetic strip, like an expired gift card or grocery card. Do not use you sail and sign card. I hate when there is no info from the cruise line as to the amenities in the cabin on their site or in the documents.

If in fact on some of the Carnival ships you must use a card with magnetic strip for the safe, and you shouldn't use your sail and sign card how would you know if you a 1st time cruiser to bring an old card with you. I have never been told to be aware of this. Any suggestions or comments.:confused:
cherylcorwin Posted October 18, 2009 #8 Share Posted October 18, 2009 A casino card might work- cause it doesn't use Credit Card info. That's what I'm planning on taking.
