Hello...I will be sailing on the Carnival Paradise and I would like to know if there are room safes and hair dryers in the cabin? I understand there are no mini refrigerators but was wondering about these items? Anything else you might inform me about would be appreciated..thanks bunches. Wishing everyone clear skies and calm seas!!!

Room safes yes, always use them on my cruises... Very nice luxury to have. Hair dryers yes, on my last paradise cruise. But I have heard they don't have a "stay on" setting, you have to keep the trigger pressed. You might want to bring your own.

+There are no hair dryers on the Paradise. In order to use the safe you need a card with magnetic strip, like an expired gift card or grocery card. Do not use you sail and sign card.

Thank you for the info. Will an old hotel key card work? I hate when there is no info from the cruise line as to the amenities in the cabin on their site or in the documents.

If in fact on some of the Carnival ships you must use a card with magnetic strip for the safe, and you shouldn't use your sail and sign card how would you know if you a 1st time cruiser to bring an old card with you. I have never been told to be aware of this. Any suggestions or comments.:confused:
