Why isn't Miracle in Port Everglades yet?

The ships usually come into port around 5:00 am, or so they have for every cruise we have taken. My youngest son and I are usually up way before to watch.

It is 7:55 am and Miracle is still not in For Lauderdale. What's going on?????

Maybe Miracle is not due in port today? Carnival schedule shows it sailed from ft Lauderdale on Sun Oct 18...yesterday

She was saturday in NY when I arrived on the Triumph.

Thanks for the posting Carib...why would Carnival sail a ship empty anywhere? Sounds like a respositioning cruise to me?

Jones Act. Can't do a one way from NY to FLL without stopping at a distant foreign port.

OH yes...thank you...I forgot about that ancient federal law to protect US cruise line companies from foreign flagged competition on domestic routes...hey wait a miniute...there are no US flagged cruise lines/ships...well there is one in Hawaii but that does not really count over here on the east coast...you would think some of our federal legislators would wake up!!!

I sure wish they would redo the Passenger Services Act. We love the repositioning cruises. It is a real shame the ships have to sail empty, I would be more than glad to be on one!

I guess it's only applicable when there are passenger onboard b/c the Triumph dropped us off in NY on Saturday and left immediately for Norfolk where she began her cruise on Sunday out of Norfolk

They could, though, do two short repo cruises: one to Canada, and another to FLL.
