Hi everyone this is my first posting. We are off to Florida next August for 3 weeks. During that time we would like to try a 3 night cruise to Bahamas. Our kids are 16 and 22 we love Disney as we go every year do you think the disney cruise will be too young for them? should we go on another cruise ship? Can anyone recommend a cruise to us. Thank you

The Disney cruises have a lot of activities for kids, aged 2-12. There is no casino. If you are true Disneyphiles, you may enjoy it very much. Other cruiselines, such as Royal Caribbean, Carnival, NCL, will have ships that have activities more aimed at young adults. However, you will only find these ships on the 7 day sailings, not the 3 day sailings. The ships sailing 3 day itineraries are older and don't have the new bells and whistles.

While Disney knows how to "entertain" like no other, you won't get as much out of the Disney cruise for older folks as you will from another line...unless you're into the "character" thing....no casino, either!

You'll find the same trip much cheaper on another line, and there will be more "bells and whistles" on some of the other lines.

If I had smaller children, I think Disney is fabulous...but for a group of adults...Carnival or RCI would probably be the better value.

Our children were 13, 15 and 17 when we went on our first cruise. This January will be our 8th cruise and we have been on Carnival for all but one. I would definitely choose a 7 night Carnival cruise over a 3 night Disney. I just checked prices for next August and a 7 night oceanview room on Carnival ship Aug. 22nd will cost less than a 3 night Disney cruise on Aug. 26. You will not want to leave the ship after just 3 nights.

With the ages of your children I would not go on a Disney cruise unless you are true Disney fanatics. It is geared for younger kids and also is more expensive than other lines and does not have a casino if that matters to you.

Royal Caribbean, Norweigian, and Carnival all have short cruises from Florida. Or of course there are several 7 day cruises to choose from.
