Casino chips for drinks ...

Ok, the wife and I have never bothered to gamble before (heck, she can't stand the smoke to more than run through the concourse at that area anyways most of the time), but I'm thinking about trying it out this time on our next cruises, and this promotion is intriguingt to me. I have a couple of questions though:

1. Is it just a "one time thing" to get you in the door, i.e. one per customer? Or if I bring a half dozen coupons will I get that many credits?

2. Is it only for a specific day/time or is this a special that runs for the entire cruise?

3. Is this coupons from any drinks? Or only certain drinks? Do the DoD specials count towards this?

Thanks for any input guys!

1. you can bring as many as you have - not just one... so if you have half a dozen, 30.00 match.

2. as far as i know it runs the whole cruise...

3. it is only applicable to the signature cocktails (and not DoD):

that's from pride's atrium bar...

drinks like the mojito, long island iced tea, etc.

it's a decent value... because something like the long island iced tea is say 8.75 + tip, so with the match considered, you get one of the better drinks for a little more than 4 bucks...

Dear God, I hope that's a Hurricane in that picture. I love it when my alcoholism fuels my gambling addiction and vice versa.

(And $8.75 + tip for top shelf drinks? Not expensive at all. But then again, I live in the land of $15 cocktails and bottle service.)

Here is a link to a picture of one of the new drink menus. It lists all of the signature drinks.

LOL, i like the way you think ;)

it's really not that bad... and the LIT is about twice the size of a normal cocktail anyhow, so relatively, it's actually more reasonable, even before you consider the casino match

The Cruiser will have to act as a stand in then. *sighs dramatically*

sorry about your hurricane :)

but i'm sure you'll make do :D

  • 7 months later...

That picture of the drinks makes me thirsty for a Carnival Mojito. YUM!

We cruised in January and took advantage of the $5 gambling credit. It was fun to play with "free" money. You do have to back it, but as soon as I would win a little, I would put my own money back in my pocket (to buy another drink!).:o
