can i find one of these in cozumel? i got asked to bring one back

I'm was asked to bring back a "molcajete" or a "mortar and pestle set" from Mexico when I go on my cruise. I'm hoping you guys know... can I find these in the shops of Cozumel?

 

We don't have any plans to go to the mainland, so I'm hoping its something I can pick up at the market shops or something...

You should be able to find them in most of the tourist traps. They may not look just like the one pictured.

Bring that picture with you and show it to Gerry. He'll take you to a shop or shops where they sell them to locals, if that shop exists.

I am not kidding . . . I saw one just like this in this weekend's advertisement for World Market. If your friend really wants one and you cannot find one, he/she should look there.

Dont' know where you're from but they have those (even more beautiful) in th

e airport here in Newark NJ-You'll find them EVEN if you're not in Mexico.

I saw some at Los Cinco Soles with a piggie face. Cute but weird. How big of one did you need?They could add to your luggage weight.

 

I personally would just get one at home, since its really not a one of a kind Cozumel item. ;) I've even seen them at Bed Bath & Beyond.
