On Saturday, October 3. 2009 four of us were having dinner in the Crown Grill. We looked out the window on the port side and noticed, what appeared to be a military ship, right alongside. We watched this ship travel our exact speed and stay with us for over an hour. Did anyone else see the ship or know why it was there? Thanks for any info you have.

That was a new Danish Navy ship on maneuvers. It was using the Emerald as part of its exercise. If you noted there was also a small? Zodiac with three men in it following the Navy ship. This information was passed on by someone in a dining room where the captain provided the information. I have pictures if you want them.

Thanks so much for clearing up the mystery of the ship that we saw from the Emerald on October 3 and for posting the pictures. We are forwarding your pictures of the ship to the friends, who were traveling with us, as they too were curious about why it was there. We have been wondering about it ever since we got home. Again we appreciate your response.
