New Casino Procedure

I know it has been posted before but I can't find it. How does the new payout procedure work in the Casino with using your S&S card? I read something about if you don't do something you could lose your money. I am cruising in 2 weeks so I really want to understand the new procedure.

Thanks

Basically, you have to make sure that you have your casino credits on your S/S card are cashed in at the casino cashier before the end of your cruise. Any winnings you earn on a slot machine (not sure about table games) are credited to your S/S card rather than paid out in a paper ticket or change like Vegas machines. You need to cash those credits in by the last night of the cruise to avoid loosing your money.

I don't think you lose your money if you forget to cash it in. My 18 yr old played in the casino on the our Splendor cruise. I didn't know he put winnings on his S/S card and about a 3 weeks ago he received a check in the mail from Carnival with a letter explaining it was his winnings from his S/S. So if you forget, it will take a few weeks (couple months in our case) but they will send your money to you. This was on the slots that he played. On the table they gave him chips when he won and he cashed those in.

This must be something new......because that didn't happen to us.....

OP you set up a players bank with your sail and sign card.......then once that is set up you can download and upload your winnings........although you use the same card this is a complete separate account.......you need to cash out your players bank in order to receive your money before you leave the ship.....normally you will receive a letter in your cabin on the last night letting you know you still have money in your bank and that you need to cash out at the cashier..........

We just debarked Glory yesterday, and on Friday there were notices to us to cash out our credits. It was also announced several times that if the credits weren't cashed out, the money was lost.

I didn't have a lot of money in my account and I continued to play on Friday, but did end up with money owed to me, so I cashed in my card.

OP,

If you get confused setting up your bank, there are casino employees to help you. I wasn't near my husband and he is used to Royal Caribbean or Las Vegas where he gets money or a slip, so he didn't know what to do. Someone working for Carnival helped him. I also saw some customers helping others, so don't worry if you don't know what to do.

Win a bundle--it's money I lost, lol.
