Question on how to do screws spa and...

Hello, For those that have taken a taxi from the ship to screws to spa and then back to the ship, did the taxi driver wait for you or how were you assured you would get back to the ship?

Is there a place in screws to keep your personal belongings, clothes (passport etc..), do they have lockers, changing rooms where you need to bring a lock? How do you do this if you are just going to go there from the ship stay for maybe an hour and then go back to the ship?

Sorry if this a funny or silly questions just don't know how to do this one and fortunately I know someone here does.

We have been to Dominica 3 times. The first time we did Screws on an excursion with the ship and loved it! The second trip we did the river tubing also with the ship (amazing & highly recommended) and last visit we took a taxi to Screws. We were there for about an hour and 1/2 and the cab driver did wait for us. Super easy - no issues!

 

Screws has been working on his spa and each time we visit there are more pools. When we were there last year he had started on some changing rooms and there were a few cubbies to put your stuff. No place for locks though. We were fine leaving our clothes - didn't fear that it would go missing. We will be back again in January and will be doing the same thing - taxi to Screws! Hope this helped.

We were there before and did the tour of the falls and just want to try the mineral springs. I would like to know the price of a taxi there. Is 1 hour enough time? Thanks!

Whether or not an hour is long enough depends on how much soaking and sipping you can tolerate. There are multiple pools each with varying temperatures allowing you to shift from one to the other as you find your ideal temperature.

 

After soaking there is a nice selection of fresh fruit to sample as well as a small bar where you can enjoy a nice cold Kubuli beer or some other refreshment at your leisure. After a beverage or a fruit snack you could very well choose to return to a relaxing soak and, conceivably at least, spend a goodly portion of your day there.

I can't comment on the txi fare but I was quoted a cost of $15 US per person for the spa itself.
