Bejing Hotel

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Bejing?

 

I am thinking we would like an airport hotel if there are any since we will be arriving at 8:30pm in the evening and leaving 2 days later at 8:00am.

We stayed at the Palm Springs Bejing Marriott Executive Suites, its about 20 min from the airport and is very clean and has everything from restaurants, spa, grocery store and free breakfast on site. We paid about $170.00 a night and it was a BIG room, 2 bedroom with kitchen and washer/dryer. And dont forget while you are there if you go out on your own dont go without the hotel card with the hotel address because the taxi drivers dont speak english and will not know where to take you unless you have the address. The cards usually have the address of the main tourist sites such as the Forbidden City written in chines and english so you just point to where you want to go. Just Google the hotel name and it will come up. Hope this helps.

Has anyone stayed at the Crown Plaza Airport? We will bw getting in at 8:30pm from the US and leaving 2 days later at 8:00am. We will have a tour guide pick us up for our full day. I understand there is free shuttle service from the hotel to the terminals but it might be tough to find at night (complaints on-line about the shuttle not being there).

 

Crown Plaza would not normally be mt first choice but might be the best choice in this situation. The on-line rates really vary from $71.00 non-refundable to $117.00 per night King with breakfast that is refundable until about the day before.
