hibiscus27 Posted November 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2009 Hello We're a party of 3 doing regular MDR at dinner (not MTD).... What are the options for table seating? I think there's a 10 person table but that's all I can remember... What other table/seating arrangements are there? Which seating arrangement do you usually go for? And which would you recommend for a party of 3 that's never cruised before? Thanks!
cb at sea Posted November 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2009 They have 2, 4, 6 8, 10, and 12 tops. We prefer a larger table, because we enjoy having tablemates! New folks to talk to, with cruising in common! We eat together every day--3 meals a day, most times...we enjoy having other people to talk with! mechcc Posted November 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2009 We prefer a table for six as it seems to us to be more conducive to conversation among all at the table. Larger tables seem to either have a few people that dominate the entire conversation or several smaller conversations going on. That said, our all time favorite table was on our first cruise at a table for 8. We were seated with 6 women cruising together and half were new cruisers while the other half were also on the first cruise. We gained sooooooooooooooo much insight from the experienced cruisers. And Hubby so enjoyed being the only male at a table.
hibiscus27 Posted November 16, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted November 16, 2009 I can't remember what table top I reserved for us... but I'll be calling my TA to see if we can have a 6 or 8 top. Thanks again!
