Booking travel in Asia

Kathy, I don't know if this will help, but I have just as easily booked hotels through hotels.com, paid in US and they do not charge a cancellation fee unless the hotel charges one. I haven't found it necessary to book hotels with an overseas agency. They have a price match guarantee in most cases and I have used it. I don't know if this post will get deleted. Are you looking at specific hotels? As far as flights, in most cases I have booked directly through the airline.
