Tranquil Waters Posted November 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2009 And you can press your clothes with it since RCI is silly enough to allow the super heated straighteners and not an iron.......:D
travelntreats Posted November 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2009 And interestingly I ALWAYS bring a small Black & Decker "travel iron" with in my checked luggage and have done so for 6+ years and never had a problem.
LisaH Posted November 18, 2009 #6 Share Posted November 18, 2009 Can you bring a hair straightener on board. I bring two just in case...could not live without it. :)
cb at sea Posted November 18, 2009 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2009 I bring my electic curlers. Daughter brings her curling iron....hair appliances are fine. I've also brought my folding travel iron in the past...never has been a problem, but apparently they're cracking down on clothes irons.
sentner Posted November 18, 2009 #8 Share Posted November 18, 2009 And you can press your clothes with it since RCI is silly enough to allow the super heated straighteners and not an iron.......:D I never thought of that! But it's a great idea and something I'll try if my clothes get wrinkled.
travelntreats Posted November 19, 2009 #9 Share Posted November 19, 2009 I never thought of that! But it's a great idea and something I'll try if my clothes get wrinkled. Be careful doing this because if there is any "hair care" residue possibly remaining on the hair straightener, it can ruin a nice clothes item ;)

Kaboochi Posted November 19, 2009 #12 Share Posted November 19, 2009 And you can press your clothes with it since RCI is silly enough to allow the super heated straighteners and not an iron.......:D LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell DH to leave all that home. I brought all that junk 1st 3 cruises and tried to fight the humidity (curly hair here). Now I put some gunk in, let it dry naturally and have time for an extra cocktail before dinner - that's what cruising is all about charlie brown:D I think I will start a new thread - ways to lighten the cruise load!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SeaTeach Posted November 19, 2009 #13 Share Posted November 19, 2009 Can you bring a hair straightener on board. Never had a problem taking hair appliances, but decided to stop 2 years ago because I never took the time to use them.
cruznjan Posted November 19, 2009 #14 Share Posted November 19, 2009 And interestingly I ALWAYS bring a small Black & Decker "travel iron" with in my checked luggage and have done so for 6+ years and never had a problem. On our last cruise, our table mate's iron was confiscated (it was returned the last day).
