Can you just get off the ship and go over and catch a water taxi to Bannister or one of the other islands?? If so, how much should we expect to pay (7 of us)

Can you just get off the ship and go over and catch a water taxi to Bannister or one of the other islands?? If so, how much should we expect to pay (7 of us)

I think Bannister Island is private, or only available through cruise ship excursions. However, you can catch a water taxi to Caye Caulker or San Pedro just outside the Tourist Village. There are a couple of different services available. Rates are around $15 pp RT.

Here are some links with schedules and information. Just be sure to catch a return in plenty of time to get back to the pier to catch the tender to the ship.
