New Years Cruise

Has anyone been on a New Years Cruise? Do you have a lot of little parties all over the ship or one large New Years Party? I'll be on the Jewel for New Years.:eek:

Several years back I was on the Sky which was a Southern Caribbean itinerary. It was so cool they have champagne fountains over the 4 hot tubs ..... satellite link to the New York countdown celebration was on a big screen so everyone joined in on the countdown. All the other bars had celebrations also. The ship handed out all kinds of noise makers and hats. There was father time and baby new year. 2 ice craving – one for each year, braking the current year at the stroke of midnight…and uncovered the new year digits.

I too am curious. We are boarding on New Years day though!!! So, it is over for the coutdown. But, what the heck we are cruising!!!!;)

Usually it's a big party on the pool deck. Cabin stewards put hats and noise makers in your stateroom before the big night. Lots of fun but don't expect fireworks (could be confused with distress flares).

Except if you are on the Disney Cruise..... lots of fireworks then! lol
