Best Location for a Table for 2 on the Summit

We have sailed on the Summit twice and observed that there are not very many tables for two and the few that we saw were very poorly located. Those we saw on the main level were squeezed in next to a main traffic area leading from the galley and restaurant entrance or in corners near the back.

Our only first-hand experience was at the Grand Brunch Buffet. We were seated at a two-top on the balcony at the top of the grand staircase. A jazz combo was playing, and DH and I were not able to carry on a conversation, because the music was so loud. But the food was delicious and the music very good, IMHO!

On both of our cruises on the Summit, we requested large tables and ended up on the main level in great locations. Our tablemates were very enjoyable both times, and we even had the same waiter. (Hello Renato!)

Lucky you for having a cruise booked on the Summit. We enjoyed the ship so much that we are considering booking again for DD's Spring Break in March!

We have sailed on 3 out of 4 of the Millie class ships. They are all layed out the same on all. With the exception of the Infinity cruise, we have always sat at a table for 2. In some cases, they will use a table for 4 for you. The main thing is it will depend on your seating. The more popular the seating, the less likely you will be able to get a table for 2. We've put in for a table for 2 on our upcoming Summit cruise and have no doubt that we will get our desired table.

We had a great location, on the second floor for our Med cruise. Altho there ARE some that are on the servers' pathway from the kitchen to the tables. One couple at one of those asked for a different table and were placed at a nicer 4 top table by themselves. With the anytime dining, I'd think you'd be able to get a decent table at the set time dinner times.
