My two boys (7 and soon to be 4 yr old), husband and I will be sailing on the Valor in Feb.!! We are so excited! We will be in a balcony room on the upper level of the ship. I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the room, ship or places you visited..... or if you have any advice or a review that I could look at! I want to show my boys, so that they have something to look forward to...

You can see a day by day account of my experience on the Valor for our 20 year anniversary at a blog I created. I have some pic's (but I realize not many of the ship, I may go back and add). You can see/read it by clicking on the link in my signature.

your 7 year old will ove the upper bed. Wonder if the 4 year old will fight him for it

Might not be your cabin but majority of the cabins all look the same

We just got off of the Valor yesterday with our two (7.5 and 4.5) and we stayed on the Panorama deck (cabin 1064) and we LOVED it!!! Perfect location and I wouldn't change a thing! Room does get a little crowded with 4 people and all of the stuff you get along the way, but it didn't bother us! I have a few pictures... let me see if any would show you how the room was...

As for the camp, they will be in different groups, but for eating etc..they are near each other..my kids said they saw each other quite a bit.

You said you have a balcony on the upper deck. Hoping it is an even side cabin. There are some cabins that will get late night noise.

example-- across from the casino bar is a band that will set up after 9pm

you dont want your cabin located in that area-- especially with kids.

Sorry to 'interrupt' but wondering if you happen to have kept your Capers? ...and can post them?

Also would love to know what excursions you did!

Thanks:cool:

I didn't keep the capers. Sorry! But this is what we did:

Grand Cayman: Swim with stingrays through Moby Dick

Isla Roatan: Tabyana Beach

Belize: just walked around port a bit

Cozumel: Nachi Cocom

Found another picture that shows you the bunks better!

Thanks! My boys have bunks now and my oldest always sleeps on the top....so I don't think they will fight over it....

here's my review of the valor from march 09.

http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=963957

I'm loving your review and I'm only halfway through it. I'll come back to it later. I've been perusing the boards for all Valor reviews and I think yours is the best. I absolutely love your humor. You had me laughing out loud a couple of times so much that my DD asked what was so funny. BTW, great pics and great looking family.

I know someone about a month or two ago posted all of the capers. I am sure if you search for them you will find them!

Thanks busdriver - I think I have those - from a Sept 2009 cruise - going in January and just hoping to check on a more 'recent' set to see if things have changed much!! Still on the lookout....;)
