Pellegrino Posted May 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2004 We are booked here for pre and post cruise stays. Does anyone have any info either good or bad on this choice? Any suggestions for dinner would be appreciated. We enjoy both beef and seafood. Any suggestions for what to do for the afternoon would also be helpful. Thanks in advance. BEVEROO Posted May 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2004 Hi, Ellen - Well, my hubby and I have stayed there twice for pre-cruises. We flew in the day before the cruise from the West Coast so didn't get to the hotel until around 7:00 or so in the evening. We were pretty tired so just ordered room service on both trips. I can't remember exactly what we ordered but the food was excellent and was delivered in a real timely manner. I do remember there are lots of choices on the menu. We really enjoyed the hotel too. During the morning of our cruise we strolled along the walkway along the Miami River which is right at the hotel. Hope this helps a little. Enjoy your cruise!!!!! Take care. flagirlcruiser Posted May 19, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 19, 2004 From the Hyatt, you'll be pretty close to the Capital Grille which is great for steak and seafood. You're a nice walk or quick cab ride from Bayside, which has several restaurants of all different types and a food court. If you rent a car, you can always go over to South Beach -- there are a some really good, nice restaurants on Lincoln Road, which is a pedestrian mall where the people-watching is a ton of fun!
