Question about May 1 in Barcelona

My cruise starts on May 2 out of Barcelona - I have arranged to arrive on the 30th of April - staying over in Barcelona the 30th and the 1st.... I just found out that May 1 is a National Holiday -

 

Can anyone (who knows) please advise me what will be open and what will be closed on May 1?????

Labor Day is taken very seriously in Catalonia. Remember, this was the center of Republican strength during the Civil War. Most places (even some convenience stores) will be closed.
