Water Taxi Day Pass - $6.00

The water taxis run from the Cruise Facility to downtown Philipsburg, with (currently) two stops there.

Bobby's Marina, at the head of town, and The Little Pier, in the middle of the shopping district. There is another water taxi pier completed, but not yet operational, some distance to the West (left) of the Little Pier in this photo.

If there is more than one cruise ship in port, the boats run pretty much continually between the stops, at perhaps 10 minute or less intervals, about enough time to unload and reload passengers.

This picture should have a thread at the top of the St. Martin page. I just clicked it and it is a great way to explain the port area and vicinity. A fantastic resource.

The name of the beach is Great Bay Beach.

It is a fine beach, very easy for cruisers to get to, with many options for lounging, eating and drinking.

The best shopping in the Caribbean (from booze to diamonds) is literally steps away, along Front Street.

But we won't go in the water there, as it is subject to pollution. A search of this board will lead you to many discussions of such.

Thank you. I was fearful that it would be that beach; hence, we will stay with Brandons.
