I am visiting Santa Marta & the Tyrona park looks like a great hike with a beautiful beach. Is it a good 4-6 hour tour off a cruise ship? Thanks, Paunch

I havn't done the tour but went on my own and camped there for a few nights. The park is incredible and huge. Not sure which area of the park that the tour takes you to but the areas that we visited were incredible and would highly recommend no matter what the cost is. Just be aware that there are very few places that you can't actually swim in the sea in the park. The undertoe is too strong.

Thank you. It looks beautiful & I'd love to see both the forest & beaches. I'll take your warning about swimming very seriously; swimming wasn't what I'd planned to do anyway. Paunch
