Hi Trish,

I don't think you will find this from Belize City.

There isn't a beach nearby that I know of that you can get to for that price. The sea is not easily accessible from BC- yes, it is right on the water, but with high sea walls and really rocky shores, not the type to swim from.

 

If you do the Caye Caulker idea suggested above, the cost to get there is approx. $15 round trip per person on the water taxi, and pay attention to the time, and never never take the last possible water taxi back to port- always plan to take the 2nd to last in case of any problems. It is 45 minutes each way, and about a 10 minute walk on Caye Caulker to 'The Split' which is the area of the island where you can snorkel without a boat. The beach at The Split is teeny tiny.

 

There are beautiful beaches in Belize, they just aren't very easily or inexpensively reachable from Belize City. :o
