Xunatunich or Lamanai?

I don't see the Lamanai excursion on our Dream cruise. I see a Alta Hun and Belize city tour and Alta Hun and Wallace river boat trip. Any feedback on those ruins and tours? I normally book a private tour, but might book through the ship to avoid having to take worry about getting of the ship fast enough for the private tour.

I don't want to do a 2 hr bus ride back and forth to the X..ruins, as I have a bad back and 4 hrs bus ride is not the best for me. We have seen some very small ruins in Cozumel which was a lot of walking in the scorching sun and not much to look at. We are going in May, so I don't know if it will be too hot to do ruins.

My other thought would be to stay away from the ruins and go to one of the snorkel excursions where you leave right from the ship without having to tender.

Thanks,

nicky
