kitty9 Posted January 12, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2005 HAL doesn't allow diapers of any kind in the pools, not even swim diapers. The kids menu usually consists of burgers, hot dogs, fries, mac and cheese, PB and J sandwiches.
bartendingbeauti Posted January 15, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2005 Does Carnival allow the swim diapers? We are planning a cruise this year with our 3 and 6 yr old and my 3 yr old will potty train on his terms not ours lol Trying to find the best itinerary and ship for kids programs but adults too.. cali-croozer Posted January 16, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2005 No swim diapers on Carnival either. In fact, I don't think any of the cruise lines allow them.
pmoodevlin Posted January 16, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted January 16, 2005 I contacted HAL about the "swim diaper" situation.. they said that NO diapers of any kind on infants.. toddlers are allowed to swim "for a short time" in swimsuits.. merela Posted January 16, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 16, 2005 I think it is US laws with do not allow swim diapers on cruise pools. Kids need to be potty-trained to be able to enjoy the pool facilities on ships.
debsite Posted January 21, 2005 #7 Share Posted January 21, 2005 Hi, We were on the Zaandam last year for spring break with our 2 year old and 10 year old. I saw lots of kids in the pools with swim diapers -- no problem and nothing was ever said. In fact it never occurred to me that they wouldn't be allowed. I don't know if something has changed or if they are just very lenient. The kids menu was fine -- burgers, chicken fingers, spaghetti, etc. My 2 year old ate off of that and my 10 year old went between the adult and the children's menu. Anyway have a good time, bring the swim diapers, and scope out the situation when you get there.:)
