 Looking for a pre-cruise hotel in FLL. If using Priceline or Hotwire, what area would I choose so I end up with a shuttle from the airport and to the port the next day?

What type of bid should I do???

Never used either of these before, so I'm kind of leary of where I'll end up.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

This is for Tuesday, Feb 8, 2005. Sailing on the Miracle on Feb 9:)

I have a room booked at the Holiday Inn Express Air/Seaport. Paid for with my Priority Points. This hotel is relativly new and offers shuttles from airport and shuttles to the cruise terminal. For 1 night all I needed was that, a clean room and a pool. I'll be pampered enough on the cruise! I believe the rooms run about $80.00 a night for cash paying customers. Good Luck! Nancy:)

p.s. Try www.hotelkingdom.com I have used them numerous times and they almost always have the lowest rate of the internet hotel companies. They are legit too!

While you can never be guaranteed on priceline to get a hotel with a shuttle service, rest assured, that if you bid downtown or beach zones of Ft. Lauderdale, everything is very close. Cab fares are never more than $10 - $15. The money you save with priceline covers any cab fares and more.

But I have stayed at the Comfort Inn on Sterling Road, Hollywood, Florida, they have a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to the pier and a free breakfast buffet. I didn't get this hotel on priceline, but its a great spot to be sure you have the shuttles if you don't want to take the chance.
