The Real PM Posted December 16, 2009 #26 Share Posted December 16, 2009 A thousand apologies. Now that you have cited such a reputable academic source, I totally concede the point. :D J No need. I really can't remember where I got my information. I looked up steerage somewhere though.
sw18 Posted December 16, 2009 #27 Share Posted December 16, 2009 9001-9007 have a 100% clear downward view. 9008-9009 have a 50% clear downward view i.e. half a lifeboat. I've had 9006 & 9008 before.....9006 you very occasionally get some noise from the Commodore Club, but a quick call to the Pursers office gets the door between the lifts & the CC closed in minutes. No problems in 9008 & both have a great view up to the bridge wing & interesting seeing the action up there coming into port.:)
Whitemarsh Posted March 1, 2010 #28 Share Posted March 1, 2010 Is there any difference in the Q5 & Q6 suites other than location? I guess you'll find out in October. See you in the Grills Lounge :)
pb82 Posted March 1, 2010 #29 Share Posted March 1, 2010 There is another difference that hasn't been mentioned yet between cabins of the same grade; call it "handedness". By chance, in the first five cabins (PG and QG) we had on QM2 the bathroom and walk-in closet were to the left as we entered the cabin and the hall closets and bar were to the right. Next time, again by chance, we were in a cabin of opposite handedness and we found it strangely disconcerting. Since then we always book one of the cabins with the handedness we prefer.
