Printing Digital Pictures on the Ship?

We are planning on taking our digital camera on the cruise and I am wondering if the cruise has the capabilities of printing out 4x6 pictures on the ship. Does anyone one know any information on this? How much does it cost? Are they good quality? What is the turn around time? Any information would be appreciated! Thanks!!

I think you'd probably be better off keeping the photos on a "thumb drive" or laptop computer and printing them when you get home. Just today I saw 32 Gig thumb drives for sale.

 

I know of no standard ship's policy on printing personal pictures and have not personally seen it done. But all pictures taken by the ship's photographer are digital, so obviously it can be done. I simply don't know if they would be willing to print your pictures.

 

On some cruises, probably just the longer ones, classes are taught on editing digital photos. These classes also have the ability to print digital photos.

Thanks for the reply.... We don't plan on erasing the photos or anything and would really just like the ability to print out some to use as postcards. Anybody else know any other information about this? I know we could probably print out at some of the ports but we really want to know about this on the ship. Thanks!

The ship photographers will print out your digital photos for you. I printed out about six 4 X 6 and the price was reasonable - I don't recall the exact price. Just take your card media to them and tell them which pictures you want printed. You should be able to pick them up the next day. The quality was very good also.

The ship can and will print personal photo's. Cost is about 20 cents per print, with a minimum of 20 prints. You are better off waiting until you get home and get them printed. Much cheaper.
