Mosquitoes at Altun Ha?

Just wondering if previous travelers have found mosquitoes a problem at Altun Ha?

We did not find mosquitoes to be a problem because we used effective repellent on our clothes and ourselves. Other people in our group experienced numerous bites because they did not properly prepare themselves. Generally, there are fewer insects in the open area with the majority of the ruins, and more insects on the pathway surrounded by jungle heading towards the back of the site.

Make sure you wear mosquito repellant that area of Belize has a malaria problem.
