Upgrade on the Destiny?

My wife and I are booked on the Destiny departing January 16th. This is our first cruise. We have booked a Spa Deck Balcony. I received a call today offering us an upgrade to a Suite on the Empress Deck for $480. Is the room and perks worth the money? We booked an ES rate which was very good and this would be almost 50% more than we originally paid. Any comments or opinions would be appreciated.

The only perk is VIP boarding if you dont already have it from being handicapped or platinum. Some consider the bathtub a perk.

I would save your $480. You already have a cabin with a balcony which is the only way to go (in my opinion). Yes,k your cabin will be a bit bigger along with your bathroom but to me, the $480 is not worth it. In addition, it's only a 4 or 5 night cruise. You would have VIP boarding but again, to me I would save my $ and use it on tours, etc., Good luck in your decision!

We're on the same cruise, got the call about 2 days ago...we declined. We're saving $$ for drinks and activities!

We had both rooms two months ago (Suite then Spa balcony) and IMO you made the right choice. :)
