Cymro1953 Posted February 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2010 Hi both, Cigs are cheap in the Canaries but because of their special low duty status that's why you can only bring in 200 in your allowance. But Madeira does not have that and cigs are counted as being bought in the E.U. They are dearer than Canaries but a lot cheaper than here. The boys bought 1000 cigs for £120 approx. And you can bring back up to 3200 if you've got the money and space. They were selling 400 for £35 on the plane and the boys got them on the way out to smoke on the ship.
