More Questions, Sorry...

Interesting. Does salt water take longer to dry? Does the salt hold onto the water? That seems strange. Anyhow if that is the case I would suggest rinsing them in the shower and wringing them out.

I don't think it's the salt water although you should rinse them out so they don't discolor or hurt the fabric. It's more the fact that you're at sea level and it's humid.

I always get a ship ornament (I've never had the brass tarnish), a key chain, t-shirt and next time, I'm going to get a ship coffee mug. Since last time was the second time I'd been on the Legend, I got a Santa in a barrel of rum for my ornament.

How should I know? :confused::confused:

I always thought of the bill with the hockey player as things Canadians like to do in the snow....I like your money,,,more like art then our greenbacks.

I've enver been on a CCL ship but it sounds like the sales are just like HALs. Junk gets discounted greatly, occasionally pretty nice things are, but the really nice stuff never is. I concur with whomever said, if you see something you think you like, get it because they go away unitl the next cruise. My DWs purse broke on the first day of our last cruise and the ship had one she wated but hte next day it was gone. However I will say she did buy a purse that to this day has held up and looks as good as the day she bought it.

A HAL ship had a some binoculars on sale that I liked. I went to my laptop and checked Amazon and found the same thing for less, so I waited and bought at home through Amazon.

It's not that they will lose time because they are cheap, but plug in clocks lose time because the ship cycles electricity which means that there is not always a constant flow of electricity to the clock. It doesn't affect things like charging cameras and ipods or using hair dryers or even laptops, though.

What time of alarm clock do you suggest?

I got a battery alarm clock, thanks for the heads up.

Another question, how many $1 bills shall I get? Is it possible to take a solid $50 and get dollar bills somewhere (if so, where?) on the ship?

Is it against policy to have a pitcher and fill it up on the lido deck. I want to purchase a throw away pitcher and keep it in my room filled with water or juice.

How many open outlets are in a 1A category room?

Do you recommend I leave my passport in my room or take it off the ship on shore excursions?

We take about 50- $1. bills. and many other small bills (5, 10.)

Lots of tipping that first day- the cab driver, the porter that takes your luggage.

You can get change at the casino cage or the pursers desk. (the casino will have shorter lines. Visiting the purser during the dining hours have the shortest lines- thats not counting the wee hours of the morning though. Purser is open 24 hours a day.

You will have one outlet located by the vanity mirror. One in the bathroom is for electric shavers.

I leave my passport in the safe in the cabin- i have no intentions of missing the ship

It can get chilly in some of the rooms onboard so I typically wear or bring along a light jacket or coverup just in case. In January, it could be pretty chilly on deck even in southern regions. I usually get cold the last day on deck returning to San Diego or Los Angeles from a Mexico cruise and at night when sailing.

Have fun.

So true. It may be nice and cozy on land in So Cal, but at sea with a breeze and the ship's speed thrown in, it can get mighty uncomfortable on deck, at night especially.
