The menu seems quite extensive at this nice restaurant. What is the best thing you've had to eat there for lunch?

The whole deep fried snapper is great. I've had it six or seven times. I always make time to travel to Progreso from Merida to eat there. Very pleasant looking out at the gulf. Service is always excellent.

The nice thing, too, is that the prices are very reasonable, and you can try something a little exotic and even if you don't like it, you haven't blown a lot of money.

 

We had the octopus cevichce (ate most of it: it is a big serving), squid in it's ink, lime soup and conch salad (ate all of it).

 

We had a very nice server who understood our English much better than she understood my high schol Spanish, and you can't beat the location.

A second recommendation for the fried snapper. For something lighter try their fish tacos. And don't forget their Margaritas, they go down way too easy.
