Port Or Starboard

If you are on the port side you will have the sun in the morning until you're in the Pacific then you'll have the sunsets at night. We've been through the canal once each way and it didn't matter which side our stateroom was on because we were usually on deck. There's plenty to view from both sides of the ship. Enjoy!

On my Pacific to Atlantic transit last September (Ecstasy) some passengers positioned themselves on deck at 11PM for a 7AM scheduled start of the passage.

At least on the Miraflores side, most of the interesting things to be seen at least up to Gatun Lake were on the starboard side [heading toward the Atlantic].

An afternoon downpour by Gatun Locks cleared the decks to the point where anyone wearing good rain gear could get any position they wanted. I chose center top deck and had wonderful view of the remainder of the transit.
