Planer's Edge Posted January 1, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 1, 2010 thanks for the quick reply. Now I will be better able to decide how to rent a car? Do you recommend renting in advance or wait till we get there? What might be the reason for renting a car? Taxi's are cheap and quite plentiful and everywhere. Be that as it may, I would at least have a reservation and not rely on availability when you arrive. As per ship's tendering, in my years of cruising to Cozumel I have only tendered once and that was aboard the Norway. PE
Dr. Jack Daniels Posted January 1, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 1, 2010 What might be the reason for renting a car? Taxi's are cheap and quite plentiful and everywhere. PE Completely agree. No problem finding a cheap taxi ride. Also, I have read a couple of horror stories of folks that had minor fender benders with their rental car in Cozumel and being expected to come up with the funds to pay a traffic fine and to fix the vehile on the spot. Or not be allowed to get back on the ship. The stories were frightening. I think I read about it on the Carnival or Cozumel board. Try a search.
