Ronath Posted January 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2010 Sailing on the Spirit Sunday 1/3 and we want to enjoy a good steak and lobster in a specialty restaurant, but we don't want to pick a night when we'd rather the menu in the open restaurants. We especially don't want to miss the lobster night which is usually on a formal night. Any help?
johnjovi Posted January 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2010 I believe the lobster night was Tuesday and the 2nd lobster night was Friday night. Enjoy your cruise!

Just a reminder: there are no formal nights on NCL, just "Dress Up or Not" nights where resort casual attire is acceptable in any restaurant. romrai Posted January 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2010 We found that on the nights that they served Lobster in the MDR, you could just walk up to the specialty restaurants without reservations. On our 16 night cruise there was 3 nights for lobster. Being from the maritimes, if we want lobster, its only minutes away, so its not a "special" thing for us. We just walked up to the garden dining room, checked out the days menu (its posted early morning) saw what was offered for the evening and either made reservations at the buffet (there is always a reservation lady there) or just to the side of the pursers desk. We also just walked up to the specialty restaurant and booked direct. Never turned away. Even had the teppanyaki room all to ourselves one night. For that matter, I can't remember ever seeing the specialty restaurants full.
