JamesOceanVillage Posted January 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2010 Hi, I have cruised the Caribbean in March and April and have had wonderful weather. I was wondering if anyone has had experience at these times of the year how do they compare for the Southern Caribbean. Thank You very much. dvan68 Posted January 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2010 We did the Southern itinerary over Christmas a couple of years ago, and although the temperature was good -we found that the surf at the beaches were a little rougher, and visibility for snorkeling not as good from sand being churned up. We did not notice any difference in the ship movement, and if you are looking at just doing land excursions, it will probably be OK.

Crystalbast Posted January 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2010 I have done a Western Caribbean Cruise in March and November. In March is poured in Labadee, rained in Jamaica, a cold front came through Grand Cayman resulting in Stingray City being closed by the Govt. and we finally had perfect weather in Cozumel. :( The weather was perfect all week long on my Thanksgiving cruise. :D

jayscore Posted January 3, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 3, 2010 The only down side we saw traveling in mid April was that the rivers were low when we went cave tubing. (We were dragged through most of it.:o) Our guide told us it is much better in December. Other than an occasional shower, we have always had great weather. ;)
