Do the water slides run while out to sea?

Just a question - we noticed on our last cruise that it seemed while out to sea the slides weren't running - didn't know if it was just our ship or if that is all the ships for some safety reason?

They open, weather permitting.

High winds or rough seas will get it closed for sure.

Sometimes, like on the Victory:mad:, I would have loved to just pull the bottom of the slide and hang it over the rail

:p

LOL.

The slides on the Destiny class are the pits. They should be called sticks.

So which Carnival ships have the best slides???

My vote is the one's you find on the Spirit class ship (with the exception of the Waterworks parks on the Fantasy Class, as well as the Dream one, as I have not been on these).

However, I think I read they have been redoing the Spirit ones as they were TOO fast. I was disappointed to read that.

Loved the slides on the Dream. The whirly bowl was too short, but the Twister was super fun. They posted the hours in the Capers, but I just ketp watching for them to be open and they were open quite a bit. Of course, it was pretty calm water in the Med when we were there.
