Philly Steve Posted January 15, 2005 #7 Share Posted January 15, 2005 During our New Year's cruise, FunShip Freddy first hugged my wife, then HUGGED ME. So...I dunno.
MrPete Posted January 15, 2005 #8 Share Posted January 15, 2005 FunShip Freddy first hugged my wife, then HUGGED ME. I'm pretty sure he's bi-funnel.
RWolver672 Posted January 15, 2005 #9 Share Posted January 15, 2005 FunShip Freddy first hugged my wife, then HUGGED ME. So...I dunno. Every time I've been hugged by a mouse or rat or whatever at Disney, I've always wonder who or what was in that costume.
judyf Posted January 15, 2005 #10 Share Posted January 15, 2005 Love the red funnels I also like Disney's funnel you can tell their ship from far away too.
modnar Posted January 15, 2005 #11 Share Posted January 15, 2005 I think the funnels are cool. During the sting ray excursion in Grand Cayman last summer, we could see the funnels on two Carnival ships from the area where we were diving with the sting rays. tjohn159d Posted January 15, 2005 #12 Share Posted January 15, 2005 They were designed after "Funship Freddy"!! I think it was designed after a whale's tail, at least that's what we call it when we see one. Makes them very distinctive and sets them apart from the other ships.

clvince Posted January 15, 2005 #16 Share Posted January 15, 2005 We were on a cruise with DS & his family. The little GS kept trying to get away & heading for the top decks. When he went back to school told everyone there was a whale on the boat, when DDin law told him no there wasn't & to stop telling that he said uh huh & grabed his postcard & pointed to the funnel & told her see there is the tail. At that point we knew why he kept heading up, he was looking for the rest of the whale. Just wanted to share this little story. Char
