serene56 Posted January 21, 2010 #26 Share Posted January 21, 2010 Question on buying drink tickets....Say i plan a cruise a year out in advance....if i wanted to buy a few drink tickets each month can i do that and save them till time for the cruise. that would definitely help with the cost You get the coupons when you are onboard- you dont get them sent to you. I book our cruise 18 months ahead of time- I buy funship dollars each pay so by the time I cruise I have all available funds to use on the cruise--including my tips, our casino money and our every day spending money. Funship dollars come in incremements of $25.00, 50.00 75. etc. We are cruising in March- by doing it each pay-- I have almost $1,000.
serene56 Posted January 21, 2010 #27 Share Posted January 21, 2010 Those pre-purchased drink tickets sound like a good deal I may just have to look into getting some :) You save maybe 50 cents per coupon. Its really not a deal so to say--but it does prepay your bar bill. People say they always leave them in the cabin and forget to take them with --keep the coupons in your camera case-- or with your sign and sail card-- that way you always have them with you
sjcruiser Posted January 22, 2010 #28 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Bought them when sailing on the Glory. I changed DR's the first night, and didnt go to dinner, but went on the second night. The waiter went over to the other DR and retrieved them for us with no problems. I did carry a copy of the confirmation as a backup. Ofcourse he got a little extra tip.
