Antigua, safe beach for Mom and young daughter while husband is golfing.

Hi,

We are going on the Explorer of the Seas for Feb. vacation. Looking for a safe beach to hang out at while DH is golfing. Thinking about the Pineapple island day trip. Maybe a hotel day pass? will the hotels be very crowded during that vacation period.

We went to Dickenson Bay the one time we were in Antigua. We weren't crazy about it because it had a lot of hustle-bustle. Parts of it were a little too busy for us. It might fit your needs though. There is a Sandals resort there as well as a couple of other hotels, restaurants and beach bars. Lots of Americans and other cruise ship passengers so you won't feel isolated. We took a cab there and arranged for the driver to pick us back up at a certain time, which he did. I don't recall the fare but it wasn't very far from the port.

We Spent a few hours at pineapple beach in dec it was very nice. Clean

no problems. There was a beach bar on the beach had a really nice pina colada I think it was 5. If you can swim there is a reef that had some nice snorkleing.

hi again, I am also thinking about the Crusoe island escape to prickly pear. any one been there with a ten year old? how big is the beach?
