Blackberry calling

Will be on the Spirit to South America next month and wondering if any one can tell me if there is a way to phone the USA by using a 3rd party software. I was told there are several including skype and ragetu.com. Any help and suggestions would be most welcomed

Telephone service using your cell phone will be available but expensive at $2.99 per minute. Skype can work if you get the internet package (cost varies based on how many minutes you buy - our last cruise we paid $80 for 250 minutes) but the connection is a bit slow and may not be the best. The international BlackBerry data package is not that expensive and you'll be able to do all the non-phone things on your phone. Check with your specific carrier on availability and pricing. Jeff
