One night cruise question

Hi everyone. I am thinking of going on a 1/nt cruise from Vancouver BC to Seattle on May 15th. I have only been on one other cruise, and that was in 2006 on Carnival for 7 nights. Has anyone ever done a 1 night cruise before on Princess? Is the casino open? Do they do anything special for dinner? Thanks for your help!!

I have done several of these cruises and the same one your doing.

Yes ~I believe the casino is open and they do have shows. I dont believe they do anything special than a normal first night diner.

Enjoy the party most people seem to stay up later on these cruises.

Dumb question. Does a one night cruise count as a full cruise credit?

Not only that, but if you book a single-occupancy stateroom, it counts as 2 cruise credits. Last fall, I did a one night from Seattle to Vancouver, followed by a 3 night from Vancouver to LA (stayed one night in Vancouver) and got credit for 4 cruises. :)

If you want to fast-track Platinum or Elite status, repositioning cruises are a great, low-cost option.

If you are just doing it to get free laundry and internet... it would be cheaper to just pay for it.

Yes, that would be kind of stupid, wouldn't it? I can't imagine anyone cruising for any reason other than they enjoy it, but not everyone can afford or spare the time for 7+ day cruises whenever they feel like it. It's just an added bonus that you still get credit for a full cruise (or 2 if you go single occupancy) on a shorter itinerary. Since I'm single, I usually don't share a stateroom, even if I'm traveling with friends.
