NYC Car Service Reservations Question

Eight of us are flying into Newark and have pretty much decided to use Carmillo or dial 7 car service to take us to Mid Town Manhattan. We land on June 4th and was wondering how far in advance you should reserve a car?

Thanks in advance to those who help!

anytime from months in advance to the day before...you can even do it before you take off.

As smeyer418 posted, I have called from LAX about 8PM for pickup the following morning at JFK.

You can book Dial 7 online. BUT you will have to split up your group. They do not have a vehicle large enough for 8 people and their luggage (usually about 10-12 pieces for 8 people).

Just ran this scenario for someone else that was trying to get from Newark to Manhattan. The only feasible way to accomplish this was rent a 10 passenger van ($124.00+ tip and toll), put 6 people and up to 10 pieces of luggage in the van. Then hire a minivan or sedan for the other two people and the rest of the luggage (only 3 more pieces in the sedan-5 in the minivan). $60 + tolls and tip for the minivan, $44 for the sedan.

Maybe with a phone call they will make other arrangements. I love Dial7. Used to like Carmel but not so much anymore.
